Content not refreshing after update

Hello, I have spots set up on my site so that my editors can edit the chunks of data from the front end edit button (a great feature). When they edit the spot in this way, or from the spots admin panel, the changes are not reflected on the site unless the spot is also deleted from the widget area and then added to the widget area again. Is there a way to force the spot to update in the widget area? I have caching turned off.
