Content border

  • I’m trying to put a border around my main content, i.e. all my posts / comments. I’m modifying the Twenty Ten default theme to look like a regular html/php site I am currently designing, but for some reason I can’t seem to be able to get the border correct.

If you take a look at this image, I managed to get a border around individual posts, by creating a .post CSS entry. Modifications to the content, container and main divs don’t get me anywhere either.

Is there a simple way to include all the content within a border, which includes everything except the sidebar, header and footer?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ben

Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme! Your changes will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress or the theme. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.

Well when I say I am editing Twenty Ten, I basically copied it and created a new theme from its foundation. I renamed it and everything.

In that case, we need to see the site. A screenshot isn’t of any real use.

I guess I will revisit this post after I have uploaded the (almost) finished product, for now I have it running locally.
