I created a child theme of twenty twelve and I’m using a temporary domain to set up the content:

The hyperlink is applied to the secondary, primary and content divs automatically, and it’s a localhost link. I thought an error may have occurred during the FTP transfer from the localhost. I can’t find the hyperlink inserted into any of the stylesheet or php code, so I’m stumped.

If I activate Twenty Twelve, the problem goes away, and also the sidebar div and it’s content.

While childtheme is active, pages without the sidebar have no hyperlink.

I greatly appreciate your brainpower to help me sleuth this out.

  • What do you have in the child theme folder for files?

In addition to the stylesheet, I have the following php files:
content-page, footer, front-page, full-width, header, index, page, sidebar, and single-post.

I removed the sidebar.php since there was nothing specific to the child theme in it. Issue still not resolved.

I uploaded child theme files again (old files overwritten). Did not resolve the issue.

I don’t see a page where this is happening – can you link to a specific page?

Well, it was happening on the home page and a few other pages where the default template with a sidebar was applied — but, I just fixed it. The last text entry in the sidebar text widget had the localhost hyperlink there, and for some reason it was inserting it in several other places: below the nav bar, top of the main content. I may have forgotten to close the a tag in the text widget. Unfortunately, I didn’t pay enough attention before I deleted it.

Thanks for your attention to this all the same.

    Best,

    Keri
