All the other sub-pages on my site work perfectly fine… just not that specific address.

Yes — I had to quickly make a new wordpress contact page just in case I would happen to get any visitors. I have a lot of videos on other sites that direct people to studio58media.com/contact so I need to get that one back up and running.
Even if I just change the slug on the “contact-us” to “contact” it gives me the 404 error again.
Is the page under “Pages”?
Have you tried resetting the permalinks?
Also try deactivating your plugins and switching to the default theme.
Yes I have done all 3 of those steps… still no luck.
It still isn’t working? Is it a wordpress issue or godaddy (who I am hosting with)

Also, have you reset the plugins folder?
Can you view that page if you go from the dashboard (view page) from that page?
Yes I deactivated plugins and switched to twentytwelve… didn’t resolve it.
Reset the plugins folder as well.. no luck.
If I click “view page” from the dashboard when I’m editing the page… it gives me the 404 error. If I rename the slug to something different (i.e. “contact2”) it works perfectly fine and I can view the page no issues. It’s like something is ‘blocking’ the slug “contact” from working?
That does seem weird – and that page it’s showing is a GD page – so you may want to ask them in case it’s something on their end.
I’ve been talking w/ them but they seem clueless as well — they seem to be thinking it’s a wordpress issue 🙁
Just really at a loss now. I KNOW how to create new pages, work with permalinks, etc… so I’m not a TOTAL novice w/ this stuff (although definitely not an expert by any means)… but I at least know my way around wordpress a little. I’m at a complete loss right now..
Even if I totally delete the contact page it takes me to the godaddy 404 error page — not the ‘typical’ 404 page that I have setup within wordpress. It’s like GD is overriding everything that I put at the studio58media.com/contact site.
I’d put myself in that category too :/ . Have you tried reinstalling WP?
– re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
Cross-posted – yeah, that’s why it seems GD related – and frankly, they’re pretty quick to blame WP…
