• Hello everyone,
I have installed WordPress on a VPS(apache) manually, everything is working fine, the only issue I am having is that the contact form doesn’t work,
And also I tried to reset my password and I get following error `The email could not be sent.
Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function.

I am using ovh vps do I need to contact them or I can fix it myself ?

Do you have an MTA running (sendmail or postfix) running on your VPS?

    Hi Steven,
No I don’t have that, can you please tell me what’s the easiest one to install

It would depend on your Linux preferences and training. I use sendmail because I spent years learning how to use it though most distros use postfix these days. The solution is to install an MTA on your Linux system. Which to install and how to configure it is beyond the scope of WordPress.
