    Hi,

I have your contact form set up on this page:
    https://beardstrokings.com/contact/

But emails don’t come through when people use it. I get the “successfully sent” message, but no email.

It used to work. One thing I can think of is that I installed SSL a few months. Would that maybe affect it?

How can I get it working again? I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin.

    Thanks,
    Pete

    Hi @peezey01,

I’m sorry to hear you had an issue. We’re happy to help.

The contact form definitely does work. If you’re not getting the emails, it’s not an issue with the plugin. The contact form functionality has been thoroughly tested, on all different server setups and PHP versions. We’ve worked on thousands of sites, on almost every web host out there. And something like that, that is a major function of the plugin, gets regularly tested as well, so we’re not going to let its functionality break. SSL would not affect it. Sites are supposed to be moving towards SSL these days anyway, so the plugin fully supports SSL.

We already have an FAQ that addresses your specific issue, along with causes and how to fix it: Q: The contact form emails, new user notification emails, or comment notification emails never seem to reach my inbox. What might be causing this?

TL;DR: Sending email from PHP is a notoriously finicky process, and the breakdown in email delivery is most often caused by server issues, or server/email configuration. See the FAQ for full explanations and solutions.

At the top of the support forum there is a sticky post that we ask users to read first because it guides you to excellent troubleshooting options we have already put together for our plugin users.

If you need further help, will be happy to help you. You will need to take the following steps:

    1. The Troubleshooting Guide and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are the place to start.

Please take a few minutes to work through these, as they solve over 90% of issues users have. (Please be sure to follow all the steps, not just read through them.) The issue might not be what you suspect.

Once you have gone through the Troubleshooting Guide and FAQs, if that doesn’t solve the issue, we’ll need a bit more info from you on the specifics, and we’ll need to email back and forth, so you should move on to the next step.

    2. Submit a support request using the secure form at the WP-SpamShield Support page, our main support channel for the plugin. We have an excellent diagnostic process.

That will allow us to help you diagnose this, find out what the real issue is, and get things working right for you.

Please note that the WP-SpamShield Support page is our main support venue, not the WordPress forums here, so that will always be the best way to get a quick response and resolve any tech support issues.
