Not sure if this is something you have, but I was having the same issues with entry and sending, I found the CF7 Multistep form plugin was the culprit. I deactivated it and everything works as it should.

My Contact Forms are not working, After filling the details in the form when I hit submit button instead of giving the success message, it is loading without any output, When I try to inspect the problem is as below.
“Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.example.com/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure script ‘http://freegeoip.net/shutdown’. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.”
Please help me in solving this issue.

Same issue here, contact forms giving the red error “Mail not sent”. My server record is clean, no problems. Restarted it just in case but error continues. What else can I look at if the issue is not server related?
I clicked through the link you shared above and have also seen https://contactform7.com/2016/01/15/red-border-error-issue-on-wordpress-441/ but this issue is recent (just a few days old).
I am currently switching email sending services from Send in Blue to Mail Chimp. Could this be related? How do I troubleshoot it?
