What do you mean by “wrong language”?
the page is in english, the field label is in german: “– Bitte ausählen –“.
The countries list is in German because the contact form is in the de_DE locale. If you want it in English, create an English contact form. See Contact form in your language
Thank you for this information. I have created a new form here: https://keytodata.com/en/keycreator-free-trial/ with lang=”en-US” but the country names are still in german.
When editing the page in the backend in elementor the list works in english though.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Try switching to the default theme, deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7 and Wordfence Security, and clearing all cache data.
Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.
