Contact form 7

Is there a way to return numerical values for a drop-down field. My drop down options have longs text labels e.g. Not at all descriptive, Somewhat descriptive, Reasonably descriptive etc. and I would like simple numerical values for the user choice to be returned e.g. 1,2,3 etc.
I am using the contact form to DB extension.
