Constantly need to reset formatting

I’m trying to make consistent text formatting across a 4-column block of text elements, each text box keeps reformatting on their own. I’m trying to make the text 10pt and the spacing 15pt, but the spacing keeps reverting to the 26pt default.

To correct I first have to redefine the default Paragraph style setting. Then each time it resets the style in a block I have to hilite the text and reselect the Paragraph style in the formatting dialog.

Also, when I create hyperlinks they often take on different colors than the default that’s been set. Each time I have to go to the default setting and click on the color again… essentially resetting the default, and that resets all the odd colored links.
