    EME was working earlier today but now it’s just giving a constant error “An error occured while communicating to the server”.

    This error appears on all of the EME menu items except Categories and Settings.

    How can I find out what’s causing this and how to fix it?

    Can you check your webserver logfiles? Or the php error logs? Those contain the needed hints …

    Did you upgrade your EME version already (to know if it is related to 2.2.11)?

    I checked the Vivaldi browser console and it gives these 2 errors:

    #1
    Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT

    #2

    Uncaught ReferenceError: emeadminmaps is not defined
        at eme_displayAddress (eme_admin_maps.js?ver=2.2.9:9)
        at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (eme_admin_maps.js?ver=2.2.9:206)

        at t (load-scripts.php?c=0&load[chunk_0]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils&ver=5.7.2:2)

    Error number 1 sounds like something in my browser is blocking it, is that right? But I wonder what changed since this morning when it was working. I didn’t update anything and the only plugin is ublock and that’s disabled for my website.

    EME version is 2.2.9

    The second one was already fixed in 2.2.10 (and 2.2.11 is released just now).
    So you need to figure out what is blocking you. I’d suggest to start with disabling ublock and go from there.

    Thank you, I’ll update EME then try that.

    With all the google-resources pointing to browser extensions (or browser settings), I’m going to close this.
