    Hi

Is it possible to manually connect my stripe account? – as the “auto connector” whilst I am sure is easy to set up – when clicked defaults to the wrong stripe account… and gives me no other options or accounts?

I could not seem to locate a way to connect it without using that connector? I am sure I have done before though…

Anyway I have access to 3 stripe accounts and it ignores 2 of them and only shows one..
    1. I do have another stripe plugin for woo installed but deactivated for one of the accounts (the one I am trying to replace)
    2. the other account not showing, I already use your plugin for
    3. the only account it shows I use stripe on a different website than wordpress

In case any of that determines why I can only see 1 out of 3 stripe accounts to connect with

    Thank you
    Sarah

    Hi @sarahweb,

It is only possible to manually connect your account in test mode. For live mode you must use the Connect to Stripe flow.

All you have to do is navigate to stripe.com and log out of your currently signed in account. Once you log out, you will be able to login to whichever Stripe account you want without any issues.

Stripe always defaults to the account that you’re currently logged in to but by logging out of stripe.com you will have the option to choose.

Hiya thanks for the reply – sadly that is just not the case – its one login – I manage multiple accounts under that log in. I did thought log in and fully log out and nothing changed… still asks me to log in and then still only gives me the option of 1 stripe account rather than the 3

If I do test mode will it remember details and avoid doing it that way ?

(Has it always been this way I don’t remember any issues a few months back when I set it up for another client .. )

    Thank you

    Hi @sarahweb,

Thank you for clarifying. Since you manage these accounts on behalf of your customer it sounds like you will need to have them individually perform the connect process. Am I correct in assuming you are a developer that manages separate client sites?

Or is it one login and in the upper left hand dropdown of the Stripe dashboard you have multiple accounts? If so I believe when you connect it’s for all 3 accounts.

In the past we did allow merchants to manually paste API keys for live mode but upon Stripe’s recommendation we switched it to the connect process. We have been showing them these types of threads however regarding devs attempting to use the Connect process. The hope is they will make some improvements to that process and make it more versatile.

thank you for your reply – yes I am a developer – I use my login and then I get a drop down far left to select which account I want

but when I click your connect button and log in I get the “please select the account” but only 1 account shows (not 3) – that is the issue – so not sure if that is the stripe side of things or yours then

Sadly doesn’t look like I can use it then does it… ??

Again whether its because I already have stripe connected to the other 2 accounts is the issue? Is it that smart?

And yes please please can we go back to being able to manually add details (either / or works for me) but without it I cannot use this plugin – which means I am left with one that whilst is working I daren’t upgrade for fear of bad reviews!!

    Thank you

    Hi @sarahweb,

And yes please please can we go back to being able to manually add details I am not able to do that because of Stripe’s recommendation. They have done this for security reasons and it’s out of my hands.

You can still use the plugin, you just need to have your clients go through the connect process. The intention is that the account owner (the merchant) goes through the connect process instead of the developer. I will definitely share your feedback with Stripe.

I have my test account setup with 2 accounts in the dropdown and when I go through the connect process I can select one of the two. However, the reason I see both in the dropdown is because in my test scenario I am the merchant, not the developer.

So all you have to do is have your client login and it will work as expected.

yes understand its a stripe recommendation – the client is not that technical so its an added layer of complication really 🙂 Appreciate all your replies though
