• Help! This will probably sounds absolutely ridiculous but I am totally confused about whats going on with my site, can anyone help?!
I had a blogger account and decided to move to wordpress. I registered a domain name and hosting package with GODADDY (http://www.lilsmirror.com). I then employed a third party to make the move across from blogger to wordpress for me. During this they stated that I would then have my own copy hosted on their server. My confusion now is:
    1. Am I using wordpress.com or .org?
    2. Am I still hosted by Go Daddy or by the company which moved my site? (the name servers were changed during the switch)
    3. Does this mean I am self hosted or not?
    4. Do I need to perform a backup myself and where will these files sit?
Help! I am a beginner and totally and utterly confused!
    Thanks

does not look like you are on WordPress.com

Get the all details in writing from the person who set up this account
Here are a few questions to ask…
What is the Backup System for my website–is it an automated system?
What are the credentials to login and control the hosting account for my website?
Who is the web hosting company that is used for my files and database?
Who else has access and control to my files and database?
If a webhosting company (like godaddy, bluehost, siteground, flywheel, wpengine etc) is not involved, how should I control my website?

Be sure you are the direct owner of the domain name.
