Thank you for raising this, and we completely understand the confusion. You are not missing anything obvious, so let us show you where each of these options now lives.
In Spectra Blocks, there is no separate Heading block, because the Text block handles both headings and paragraphs. You can select the Text block and change its tag to Paragraph, or H1 through H6, along with several other options.
On spacing, you are not limited to a single slider. To apply spacing to any individual side, click the unlink icon and custom value icon on the spacing control, and you will then be able to set a custom value for each side, in PX, REM, EM, or other units. This works for both padding and margin.
On the typography options you mentioned, such as Appearance, Line height, Letter spacing, Decoration and Letter case, these are all available too. They are simply hidden by default, and you can enable them by clicking the three dots beside the typography options.
It is also worth clearing up the comparison with the core blocks, because Spectra Blocks adds quite a lot on top. You get animations, Display Conditions, Responsive Conditions and Z Index, and importantly, typography, border and spacing can all be set per breakpoint. So you can have your text at 40px on desktop, 30px on tablet and 20px on mobile, which the core blocks do not support at the moment.

Thanks, I tried to import a design but it seems to have missed half of the styling… Should I continue with blocks or legacy? Neither seem to work (have both installed), it could be because i’m trying to import one page…
It’s very frustrating to have our workflow disrupted with this.

Thank you for getting back to us.
On which one to use, please continue with Spectra Legacy for old websites. Spectra Blocks is best adopted on a fresh build when you are ready. Keeping both installed is safe, since each one only affects its own blocks.
On the partial styling, this usually happens when the import cannot fetch everything from our pattern server, or the server runs out of resources partway through. Please try this:
- Ask your host to raise the WordPress memory limit to at least 512 MB and to whitelist https://websitedemos.net/ in case it is being blocked.
- Create a fresh page and import the design again.
If the styling is still incomplete, please open a support ticket so we can check your setup directly. Visit https://wpspectra.com/support/, scroll down, click Free User Support, then fill in the details along with your affected page link.
