Conflict with Retina 2x plugin
-
In combination with Retina 2X plugin and WP Mailto Links I am getting some corrupt code appearing around embedded images – see the image alongside text at dev.ovsc.co.uk/bowls. Disabling the Mailto plugin resolves the problem.
The problem appeared when Retina 2X was upgraded from 3.3.6 to 3.3.8/3.4.0. This is with WP Mailto Links v 1.6.0, which I have updated recently. I don’t know which version of Mailto I was running previously.

Hello John, OK, could you turn off the WPML plugin? So I could see the html source when plugin isn’t inactive.
Hi,
Thanks for the response. My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. Other bigger problems (and holiday) have intervened.
Below is code generated with either then both plugins enabled. It looks as though the “@” Retina is using in it’s srcset is the trigger. With both plugins enabled, there are a number of warnings about the lack of spaces between attributes. Let me know if you want me to enable/disable plugins on the dev.ovsc.co.uk site.

we are having this issue appearing on android device.
When the Retina 2x image is being called, we get the ‘protected email’ message.
How can we stop this happening in mobile devices ?
The website with the issues is annashairsalon.com, its the footer logo
<div class="footer-logo"> <img class="normal_logo" src="http://annashairsalon.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/logo-footer.png" alt="Footer Logo" title="Footer Logo"><br /> <img class="retina_logo" src="http://annashairsalon.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/*protected email*" alt="Anna's Hair, Beauty & Nails Salon" title="Anna's Hair, Beauty & Nails Salon" style="width:92px;; height:130px;;"><br /> </div>The image name is logo-footer@2x.png
Interesting, the image name does match the format for emails.
For now there isn’t a workaround for this problem. I will put it on the list for future releases.Working on the solution. Will be released in a few days.
Great, look forward to testing it
π
Please go ahead.. π
Hi, where do I get the updated plugin from? I have 2.1.5 installed and it has not resolved the issue, I checked from Android 6.0 on a Samsung Edge S7. π
Thanks
