• Hi there,

I am not sure if you do know Jetpacks Publicize, but with the plugin you can share new posts with common social networks like facebook and co.

So I did setup everything and tryed to publish a new post. What happend is, that the page started to load, and then it jumps to the front end, and opens this URL:

    /submit-ticket/?message=4

The post after this is not published, but saved as a draft.

As soon as I disable “Awesome Support” I am able to publish the post and it is shared with those networks.

I am not sure what the problem is, and I am not sure if this is the “fault” of Awesome Support or Jetpack, but there’s something wrong with it.

Any ideas on this? Thanks for your help in advance!

    Hi,

I am not familiar with Publicize from Jetpack but what you describe sounds like a POST variable name conflict.

Please describe exactly how to reproduce the bug and I will test it on my side. It is probably just a stupid thing to change and shouldn’t take much time. That’s probably going to be fixed in next version.

    Hi Julien,

first let me thank you for your help!

Secondly – First I thought, that the problem is, that I am using custom post types, but it is the same with normal wordpress posts.

    What did I do?

I installed awesome support and jetpack. I activated awesome support, and did set up everything. “Multiple Products”, “Plugin Pages” are the predefined ones.

I then activated wordpress jetpack and activated “Sharing” and “Publicize”. I then did connect everything with Facebook, Twitter and Google+. After this you’ll see a new option when you publish new posts, on the right hand side. There you can activate or deactivate sharing with social networks. After this I did write and publish a post, and the problem accured appeared.

Please let me know if you need anything else!

Have you been able to find out anything regarding this problem? I tryed a few things, like disabling few of the plugins, but it always comes down to “awesome support”. As soon as it is disabled everything else is working fine. I am not sure where it is coming from, but I am unable to solve it myself.

    Thanks again!

I didn’t have time to look into it yet but I most likely will this week.

    Hello Julien,

thanks for your effort. We will disable awesome support for the moment, as our project will start at the beginning of march. Hopefully you’ll be able to fix the problem, so that we can enable it again!

That being said, I am aware, that this plugin is for free, and that you’re doing your best to help. I appreciate it a lot! Thanks for your help and take your time!

    Best regards!

Thanks for the appreciation Lumartist. It feels good to hear 🙂 I’ll do my best ti have it fixed this week.

Hi There, this is happening with me also, same issue exactly the same results, was there a fix applied for this?

    Regards

    David

It is a conflict with Jetpack Publicise which is quite widely used to publish posts to social networks.
If I turn deactivate publicise it works fine if I reactivate it same issue as above redirects to /submit-ticket/?message=4
    Very strange.

I am using version 3.1.7 of awesome support
