thanks for using MH Magazine lite.
The theme doesn’t do anything that could prevent the plugin from working. However, it’s of course possible that the plugin has conflicts with other plugins on your website or even with WordPress.
When checking the user comments and reviews regarding the plugin, then it seems that several people have issues with that particular plugin and also some bugs are reported.
You could try to contact the plugin developers for support and bug analysis or consider using a different plugin instead: Review Plugins.

I am agreed with @mh Themes, However you can try disabling all other plugins except WP Customer Reviews to see if it work or not. If it work then enable other pluging one by one then you will know which plugin conflicting with WP Customer Reviews.
Note: Before doing this please make sure you installed and configured WP Customer Reviews correctly.

It’s definitely the MH Magazine Theme and the Review Plugin that’s conflicting. I changed to another theme without touching any other settings and the plugin worked.
Then we can only recommend either using a different theme (one that works with the plugin) or install a different plugin (there are plenty of review plugins available). As mentioned, several people are having issues with that particular plugin – with all kinds of themes. That means this plugin probably is doing something that breaks stuff…
