• Hi there!

Yesterday afternoon we updated our phpmyadmin from 5.2 to 5.4. After the update, it became impossible to edit or create any new content on our wordpress site. We could create the content on a new page or post ect, make the edits on existing pages, but not save them at all. Every time we tried to save – we were redirected to the list of posts.

We spent quite a bit of time with our hosts tech support and narrowed it down to the compatibility with wordpress 4.1.1 and the two most recent versions of phpmyadmin. Once we went back to 5.2, all of the wordpress functionality was restored.

The problem is, we have a bbphp forum we are trying to migrate over and it requires us to be using phpmyadmin 5.4. So, we are stuck. Has anyone else experienced issues with this?

    Thanks so much!

phpMyAdmin is a tool you use to graphically interact with your database. It has nothing to do with WordPress.

Did you update just phpMyAdmin, or did you update MySQL too?
