    Hi,

great plug-in, simple and doing it’s job. But unfortunately after I updated to Divi 5 your plug-in created a critical error on this page of the website.

When I switch to 2024 theme, the page with the paypal donation button is shown.

Did you already experience this kind of incompatibility?

    Best regards
    Stefan

Thank you for reaching out to us. Are you able to check the log files in your site or server. It would be great to know the critical error displayed.

Also have you tried clearing your browser cache? Or can you clear the cache plugin in your site if you are running one. Do you know if your sever is also running any caching system?

    Kind regards.

Thank you for your fast response. The error shown is quite open:

“There has been a critical error on this website.”

I tried it on 2 browsers. one clears the cache after closing.

No log data, where can I get that?

    Thank you
    Stefan

I use the following plugin to check for any error logs.

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/debug-log-manager/

Also, have you carried out a plugin/theme conflict test? I know you say it is not working with Divi 5. However, sometimes it may also be another plugin causing this issue.

Can you also share the current shortcode you are using? I would like to check it out myself.

    Kind regards.

The short code I use: [paypal-donation]

Thank you for the plug-in. I installed, activated it, and logged the event to open the page with the donation button:

Thank you for sharing that information. From what I can see in the log file above, those errors are not coming from our plugin. You need to get in contact with Divi support and share with them the log file above. Let me know what they say.

    Kind regards.

    The answer from Divi-Support:

    Hi Stefan 👋

I checked your website and I can replicate the issue too ✅

However, when I tried using the same shortcode on a new page that will be using a Block Editor this doesn’t work or saved here.

    It throws this error message:

But if I use other shortcodes, it works fine ⬇️

This indicates that the issue may be specific to this particular shortcode rather than the builder itself. ✅

Since the shortcode is generated and handled by a third party plugin, we recommend reaching out to the plugin’s support team for further assistance. They’ll be in the best position to investigate why this specific shortcode isn’t working correctly in the Divi Visual Builder and Block Editor.

    Thank you for your understanding!

Thank you for providing more information. Unfortunately I can’t test your theme because it is a premium theme.

I have submitted a message to the developers to investigate further your issue.

    Kind regards.
