    @lizidaley – You can set the Basic Compact Album thumbnail size under Gallery > Gallery Settings > NextGEN Basic Compact Album for albums inserted afterward (or those using shortcodes) but for those inserted via the IGW (“green button”) in the TinyMCE editor’s visual tab you will need to re-open the IGW (just click on the preview image) and change the specific sizes in its customizations accordion panel.

    You may also need to clear the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous and/or use an anonymous browser window to see the effects immediately.
