• Dear all,

For a website I am building I have a daring idea. I was thinking to enable the community to contribute not just to site content such as articles, posts and comments but also to contribute the actual structural site development.

The basic idea is that members of the social network can (if they want) contribute to the site-development. What I would like to do therefore is to allow members to access and edit the wordpress admin panel of a duplicate site (just the structural part, without actual user data)

Basically in this way anyone can decide to edit/improve a certain aspect of the website. Once a stable version is produced it can be presented to the entire community (still as a duplicate) and the main administrators after which it can be tested and possibly voted on for promotion to be used as the actual site.

In this way the overall funtionality, stability and even visibility (design) could be improved by the community and as such greatly enhance the overall quality. Moreover its for an NGO with a low budget, i this way a high quality site can be build voluntarily and bit by bit by its memebers.

does anyone have experience with such community contributions to web development? Please inform me.
Looking forward to the wordpress community ideas and reactions!

    Adam
