Just installed Mailchimp for WordPress on a new WordPress install with WPML and Contact Forms 7 as additional plugins.

Configured the Maichimp API key and enabled “comment form” integration with the standard options. However the “newletter opt in” does not show on posts in the comment section??

Reinstalled, MC4WP, deactivated WPML etc but still no opt-in in the comments section??

Any advise – have been trying all different things now for 3 hours and still no luck?

Sure – apologies for not including it originally.

We upgraded to WP 4.7 in the interim to see if that helps but no luck.

Also we have Enfold as theme with child theme enabled for all modifications. We edactivated Enfold and activated Twenty Fifteen but still no opt-in.

Ok – found out that I’m an idiot and reading to fast causes problems.

The setting “IMPLICIT” should be set to “NO” if you want the box to appear. So problem (self inflicted) solved.
