• Hi everyone, I am new to this but I can’t figure this out for my life! – I have it set in the admin, options, dicussions that anyone should be able to leave a comment, however, when I click the <no comments> link next to a post, I just get the same page with #comments appended to it and no comment form to leave a comment – also, I see the text: “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.” at the bottom of the page.

    Please help! Thanks so much!

ok, so what did Crystal do to fix her problem? I still can’t get mine to work πŸ™ – sigh

I can’t even find the function that is supposed to write out the comments link .. please help! πŸ™‚

spider, after s/he posted a link to the blog I was able to help. I asked you to do the same.
And if you read what I told Crystal in my last post above this one – you can see what did Crystal do: changed the permalink structure as I said.

Moshu, I changed the permalink structure to this:

    /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/%post_id%/

and still no luck – any ideas?

Well, I don’t think your problem is/was permalink related (though I don’t know what was your earlier permalink structure).

Anyway, as I see it you have a screwed up K. theme which seemingly (based on the bg image and column width) is not using the proper templates for displaying the different views. K. is very complicated in this regard with if_statements in the header file.
I am afraid your twisted version is displaying the single post view (where the comments should appear) with a template that doesn’t have the call for the comments template.

For more details I’d have to get into your theme, but – as somebody said around here – I don’t do K, I find it a PITA.

I’m also having the same problem.

I made the update to 2.0, the blog it’s based in the Kubrick template. But even if I change the templates, they aren’t working.

Also I tried changing the permalink structure, but doesn’t seems to make any effect on comments.

    The blog is http://www.fandino.net/ileana/

    Thanks

Moshu, I saw your test comments, but they didn’t appear. I checked on Spam Karma, and aren’t been hold for moderation or anything.

I remember in other threads it came up as a solution:
    – try to delete/empty your cache folder (in wp-content)
    – check that you have the latest SpamKarma if you use it at all

p.s. I just left 2 comments on your blog, check them in the moderation queue

I saw the comments, but they are not on the moderation queue, and Spamkarma didn’t marked them as spam.

I tried deleted the cache folder, but it keeps doing the same.

I have found that if I edit one of them, they all appear.

    Thanks

I’m having a similar problem with comments not working.

My site is at http://www.ssiawatch.com. I’m using a modified Blix theme, and I reckon it is a theme issue, but have no idea where to start on correcting this. I’m a novice who has just hacked at the theme a little too much I reckon.

Oddly enough they show as (1) in the post archives(http://www.ssiawatch.com/blog/nfblog/archives/), but I get nothing on the WP Manage > Comments screen, and nothing shows on the website itself.

I’m also having to use a redirect from http://www.ssiawatch.com to http://www.ssiawatch.com/blog/nfblog/ because when I change the URI in WP the permalink structure breaks. Hence I have to use a meta-refresh (ugh).

The permalink structure I have is:
    /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/

Moshu, any comments or suggestions you have are greatly appreciated.

Same thing here, modified Kubrick 3 column from 1.5.2. I have tried setting to the templates that came with WP 2.0 and nothing has changed. I am new to coding so please be kind. Someone else had modified the Kubrick I just made the theme.

Settings are set to anyone can comment and moderation for first time commenters. Comments don’t even show on the post when there are comments, I don’t get any email notifications since I changed my email.

I do what I can to help someone help me.
