Erm, I suppose you could come up with a plugin that would allow the visitor to select a language option from a dropdown menu, which would then filter the comment through a translation script in the appropriate language, but I have no idea how you would go about doing it… As a sidenote, Bayesian translation would probably put a lot less strain on your server, imo, if this is gonna be a regular thing. 😉

heh I don’t think it’ll be a regular thing, and I’m still not 100% sure that it wasn’t actually spam and not a legit comment in another language. Just wondering if there are anyways to really figure it out.
Depends on what you mean by “jibberish”. Were there numerous ? and box characters and such? Then it could have been a legit post. If rather it was something like :

It’s likely to be spam, or comment graffiti.

ah ok, then it was most likely comment grafiti. It was just interesting because the link that it had was for a college in Europe which seemed legit.
Either that, or it’s in Welsh… 😛
