Hi i not did much work on my site and how have 19k+ comments all spam or most not checked all, is there a easy way of getting rid off them all.

Also how can i cut back on the level of spam comments i get.

any help would be great

I’d suggest you start by activating Akismet and using http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cookies-for-comments/

As for your existing spam comments, you may be able to find a plugin that will allow you carry out bulk deletions.

If you have access to the database, you could bulk delete them there. Or as esmi said, there are plugins that can do this.

Check out: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wpcommentcleaner/ or https://wordpress.org/plugins/delete-pending-comments/

(a quick Google search brought these up, I am more comfortable removing them via phpMyAdmin and haven’t personally used these plugins.)
