Comments allowed but being moderated

    Since upgrading to 2.7 on all of my blogs all comments for all posts are going directly into moderation. On the Discussion settings page both of these options are unchecked:

    An administrator must always approve the comment
    Comment author must have a previously approved comment

    I have also read other threads regarding commenting issues recently but the solutions to them have to do with commenting not being allowed at all. Like the solutions to these threads:

    This is affecting all current posts and any new posts I do. The only correlation I find is that on all of these blogs I had been using a beta version of 2.7 before it went final. On the one blog I went directly to 2.7 final the commenting is working. I have tried exporting the posts and comments then deleting all of the tables and reimporting the posts and comments after reinstalling WordPress and the issue still exists.

    Any ideas?

    I have resolved this issue. It was due to the “Report Comments” plugin by Dagon Design. For some reason having that plugin activated in wordpress 2.7 will flag all of your comments for moderation.

    You just have to set it to allow more than one link before it gets held for moderation
