    Me again … =)
Now, the commenting system. I was trying to set up a more interactive commenting system using wpDiscuz, but the only comment form I see is the standard WP comment form. To see if this is a problem with the plugin I tried Disqus, but got the same disappointing result. I tried various themes as well (someone said commenting is theme dependent) including the standard ones – same thing.

So again, I’m obviously missing something?

    Hi @shieldfire,

What is the website? We can take a look at it for a moment, thanks 🙂
Also in back-end, have you taken a look at the ‘comments’ menu on the left side?
You need to alter some settings here.

    The website is at: http://www.theoldecookerybook.com

The page I’ve been using as a testpage is http://www.theoldecookerybook.com/recipe/asparagus-soup/

Not quite sure which settings you are refering to, the plugin specific or those in Settings-Discussion.

    Hi @shieldfire,

Please read documentation from wpDiscuz to make sure you set-up every setting. You need to manually activate this comments plug-in for posts, pages and media.

    Hi,
I’m not finding those settings unfortunately. AFAIK the plug-ins were to do with media uploads and which types of pages allows them (posts, pages …). But then I might be wrong (it has been known to happen…)
Also, I get the same problem with other comment plug-ins (I tried Disqus).

    Hi,

If settings are not displaying then there is some sort of bug (in your plug-in or theme). It might be a good idea to turn on your debugging in wp-config.php file and check if there are any faults in the back-end.

I found the setting which was unticked, however “manually activate this comments plug-in for posts, pages and media” was not a totally accurate description. There was a tick-box in the Comments-Form-[FORMNAME] page that said “Recipe” which was empty.

    Hi @shieldfire,

I am happy it is solved.
As for the naming of the checkbox, this was on my side just a complete guess. Therefore I send you the link to a more detailed documentation.

    Have a great day.
