Comment Spam

    I’m dealing with a lot of comment spam that, according to my network admin is also being sent out as emails from two of my websites. We really need to fix this as soon as possible, as we have the mail server shut down completely and if we turn it on we’re in danger of being blacklisted.

    I’ve found this article that sounds promising, I was wondering if someone could help me impliment this code in a way that may fix my problem.

    If not, is there anyway to disable to comment system in WordPress completely?

    Settings >> Discussion

    Some themes can override that setting, so if your theme can, be sure to set it to not do that. You may need to check each post/page to make sure those settings are off.
