OK – so the majority of my catalogue is weight based but a few items are flat rate.

I have weight based shipping running fine with several tiers defined and shipping method set to automatic. So as customers add items to their cart the appropriate shipping cost is calculated based on the total weight in the cart.

However, I have several products that require flat rate shipping based on shipping classes. For example Item X requires 1 pallet per item so I have defined a shipping class “1 Pallet” and given it a price.

When I order Item X (or any flat rate product) on it’s own everything works fine and the shipping cost is calculated based on the class.

BUT if my cart includes a weight based item AND a flat rate item the customer can choose EITHER the weight based cost OR the flat rate cost instead of having the shipping costs of of the weight based and flat rate items combined.

So I guess my question is how do I combine weight based shipping with other shipping methods rather than having them appear as options?

Simple as this seems to me I’m guessing it’s way out of scope but thought it worth asking.

    Thanks.

Unfortunately, I don’t know any plugin which can do that for you. And WBS has no appropriate option too as you see. Of course, that could be achieved with an individual customization. If you interested in it contact me via Customize button on WBS settings page.
