    I am unable to add columns to this theme beyond creating divs with widths which are throwing off the responsiveness of my site. I tried to use Column Shortcodes but they don’t work.

    Does this theme have column code embedding in? I’m unable to find any.

    This theme is Bootstrap based which means that you can create columns using Bootstrap grid http://getbootstrap.com/css/#grid

    To simplify this you can use plugins such as:
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-bootstrap-shortcodes/

    Just make sure you disable Bootstrap files that comes with plugin and uses ones that are included in the theme. There is a simple settings page where you can get this done.

    In case you won’t disable it, then Bootstrap will be loaded twice. It is not going to throw any errors but your website will load slower because of unnecessary files.
