Is there anyway, that you can make the catagory posts appear in a 3 or 4 column layout using the grid system? at the moment they just list vertically wasting a lot of space, I would like the post titles to be 3 or 4 columns accross?

Mmmm, not quite, but thanks anyway,

what I mean is, on other templates you have a custom-page.php that you can adapt to change a page layout, there is one of these in customizr which I use

there is no such file for a catagory layout?

Ok reading a bit more, can I use the index.php, copy it too another file call my-catagory.php and add my custom HTML in there? Then my catagory will use that page?

Could I copy index.php and paste into a new file called my-catagory.php? And that will be used via the catagory slug? (Sorry for the repeat)

My understanding is that this might work. There’s only one way to find out: try it and let us know! 🙂

The answer is no 🙁 just tried it, it has no affect and will not pick up the custom page… so frustrating this!

    good luck.

No such thing as template manager?

Anyway, good news, it works! I had just spelt the name wrong of the file.

I now have a custom template for my category by copying index.php into mycategory-name.php

    awesome!
