Color Will not Change

I just installed the plugin that was updated a week ago. And the background for the shapes will only display as black or the default gray. I was specificially using “triangle” with position bottom. There appears to be an error with how the fill is set and it automatically includes a “#” so when the color picker adds a color code, it’s an error (either ## or #var ) and shows as black.
