Color option doens't work

Good morning.

All of the options for Checkbox, drop-down, and multi drop-down work fine. But the option for color is greyed out and won’t let me select it. I have colors setup in the attributes section, and can display them as one of the other options; checkbox, drop-down, and so on. just not with color.
