You’ll need to provide some more detail then that. What theme are you using and can you provide a link to your site?
The site is http://www.blogdenver.com. The post with the problem is in the Politics category – Washington, etc. and the post title is; “Good to se you…”

That’s a commercial theme (even the free version is commercial) and we don’t support that here.
But even that said try as an experiment to identify where the problem is.
When you insert the <!--more--> code are you using the button in the post editor? If you are then you should see the more dotted line in the visual editor.
Once that’s confirmed, switch to the Twenty Eleven theme and visit that “Politics category – Washington” URL. If it works in Twenty Eleven then you have a theme problem and will have to contact the vendor.
If that does not work then deactivate all of your plugins and try again with the Twenty Eleven theme. Hopefully that will identify where the break down is.
