• Hello

I have a really embarrasing question. I have tried to remove the “categorized: uncategorized” text in the bottom of each post. A friend told me to put a piece of code in the end of the .css file. I tried and nothing happened. And then I did something really stupid – I put the code in another part of the .css file. Something with “functioning” I think.

And now my website is messed up and I have no acces to the “Editor” anymore. Everytime i press the “editor” button it says: HTTP-error 500 (Internal Server Error). And if I try to go to the website on another page it says the same. But I have acces to the dashboard on the page I was on when I messed everything up.

I now it is stupid – but I thought that I could just remove the code if something did not look okay. I never thought it would gp this wrong! And no, I am not an educated webmaster. But I am trying to learn.

    My website: http://www.tinakraft.dk
Theme: I have forgotten and I have no acces when I press the “Theme” button on the dashboard.

Could you please help me? It is really urgent since I am trying to start a business now from this very website…

    Best regards

    Tina

  • You should be able to access your site via FTP – and deactivate that theme:

Then, download a new copy of the theme to your computer and replace the file you changed with a new copy of that file (Or reinstall the theme).

    Thank you so much!

But can you maybe guide me a little more? I am just used to be using wordpress on the website and not really use the filesystem on the host.

You will need to use the file system or FTP to fix this – do you have FTP set up? This is a good explanation of how that works and some free FTP clients – Filezilla is great:

Where is your site hosted, BTW?

Thank you!! It is hosted at one.com.

I have already used Filezilla to install the theme at the host so I should be able to do as you suggest. I guess….

I will give it a try.

I am doing wrong somehow because it is not working.

“”Rename the active theme” in filezilla?! I have tried to rename “Themes” – nothing happened. Then I tried to rename “pinblack” under WordPress content and then themes. Nothing happens.

    I do not get it.

I ended up reinstalling WordPress so now it is working.
    Thanks for your help!
