CMS Tree Page View is being actively maintained again

Hi everyone,

I’m Pär — the original author of CMS Tree Page View. I’ve taken the plugin back over and it’s being actively maintained again.

If you’ve posted here over the last few years and didn’t get a reply, I’m sorry about that —
the plugin went quiet for a while. That’s changing now. Here’s what’s already happening:

• A new release (1.7.1) has shipped — the first update in about three years — with the
  review fixes below and a WordPress.org security-review pass addressed.
• A full security, performance and logic review of the codebase.
• An automated test suite so the core flows (the tree rendering, expanding, drag-and-drop
  reordering, adding pages, search) stay working across WordPress updates.
• Confirmed compatibility with current WordPress versions.

A couple of quick FAQs that come up a lot:

• “I reordered pages but my site/menu didn’t change order.” The plugin sets WordPress’
  menu_order. Your theme or query has to actually sort by it — see the
  readme. It’s working as intended, just not always obvious.
• “Is there an alternative / is this abandoned?” It’s not abandoned anymore — see above 🙂
