It is the customer note within the order, not the orders view

Is it something else that I am missing?

Apologies for the confusion. You can disable the Sticky note from WooCommerce Settings > Customer Notes

Sorry again, not what we are trying to achieve. We want the pop ups so staff see the notes, but we want them to be able to close the popup after they have read it or if they want to hide it – not disable it? It just needs a close button?
