• How to trigger:
Get a order on your woocommerce
    Go to Woocommerce > Orders
Click the eye icon of the order to open the model
Click the email URL of the client

    What happens:
It opens a new tab with a mail to the corresponding email, AND changes the page you are seeing to a mail to the corresponding email.

    What should happen:
It should only open a blank tab with the mail to the corresponding email.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out!

I’ve tried this on my test site and only the mail app was opened – no new tabs.

This most likely depends on your browser configuration and how it handles mailto:email@address.com type of links – is the same happening with the link in my reply? Which browser are you using?

Yes! I have not notice that also happens with a simple email link.

I am using Chrome Version 74.0.3729.159 (Build oficial) (64 bits)

There exists a configuration or maybe is a chrome bug?

    Hi @avagp,

This seems to be unique to just your setup. Perhaps you have installed an extension in Chrome that is causing this to happen.

I’ve tested in Chrome just now and only my default email client is launched. Nothing happens in the browser.

I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved now since the issue you’re dealing with has nothing to do with WooCommerce
