client area for downloading user content

    Hi,

    I’m trying to switch my website from joomla to wordpress and searching for some plugins I’m using there. One is the possibility to create a client area for downloading pics or any other stuff in a single post. By loging in, a special post only shows the area of the post which refers to the loged in user and the possiblity to set a download link for downloading the data you’ve forseen for the client.

    Joomla example (part of the post – wedding_stefanie is a sub folder containing the zip files)

    {iACL type=userid 106}Content area client 106{jsmallfib [wedding_stefanie/] [106:1]}{/iACL}

    Is there a comparable plugin at wordpress? Or does anyone hsa an idea how to set a client area? Thanks for your help

    René, I’ve just come across your post. Did you manage to find a WP plugin that emulates what JSmallfib does in Joomla? I would be very interested to know if you worked out a solution, as I am in the final stage of the process of porting JSmallfib to the WordPress platform. Perhaps you’d be interested in a beta test?

    Hi Enrico,

    sounds great because I didn’t found a simple solution yet. My actual solution is the plugin “user access manager” and single pages for each customer… annoying!

    I would like to test your solution, could you provide a dl link?

    Sure! The new WP plugin will be ready in a couple of days (I am cleaning up the code and adding the backend parameters). Please send me an email (you’ll get it in the support page for JSmallfib on smallerik.com) and we’ll take it from there.
