Hello,
I’m getting the same issue too.
I’m trying to track the contact mail click with the step by step guide of the plugin, but it’s not working. I’m using WP 4.9.8 with a custom template.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance!Hi,
I uninstalled the plugin after 3-4 days when I asked here, as support was not responsive. Until now.
I used GTM and it works fine and according to needs.

hi @inderpreet2018 – Sorry to hear that. I was absent but now looking at it.
@minikiz, can you share a link to that page?Yuval
Hello,
Thank you for your quick reply. Finally I used GTM too, so I uninstalled the plugin. But thanks anyway for your attention 🙂I have a similar issue with the free version.
When click on a button and the dataLayer.push happens I see the “create command”.
Running command: ga("create", {vtp_doubleClick: false, vtp_setTrackerName: false, vtp_useDebugVersion: false, vtp_fieldsToSet: [{fieldName: "anonymizeIp", value: "true"}, {fieldName: "cookieDomain", value: "auto"}], vtp_useHashAutoLink: false, vtp_decorateFormsAutoLink: false, vtp_enableLinkId: false, vtp_enableEcommerce: false, vtp_trackingId: "UA-xxxxxxxxx-x", vtp_enableUaRlsa: false, vtp_enableUseInternalVersion: false, function: null, instance_name: null}, {name: "gtm5"})
But the Response “Creating new tracker” is missing. On the next commands, a.e.
Running command: ga("gtm5.send", {hitType: "event", eventCategory: "Job Application", eventAction: "Form Opened", eventLabel: "click", eventValue: undefined})
it throws
Command ignored. Unknown target: undefined-

Hi @krysis163,
Can you please add a link to the page?
I think that there is another piece of code that is running alongside our plugin that may be conflicting.Yuval
Hi @yuvalo
Thanks for your reply.

There is a tracking event on the Button “SICH JETZT BEWERBEN”.
If the job offer isn’t available any more, choose another one.@krysis163
Do you have any other setting in Google Tag Manager to track this specific button?Hi @yuvalo
No, not on that Button. The GA Preview shows on Step 2 “Page View”
this 4 fired events:
– Conversion-Verknüpfung / Conversion-Verknüpfung
– Facebook Pixel ID / Benutzerdefiniertes HTML
– Google Analytics – Seitenaufruf / Google Analytics – Universal Analytics
– LinkedIn Insight Tag / LinkedIn InsightOn Step 3 DOM ready and 4 Window Loaded
no fired eventsWhen clicking on the Button we get
5 gtm4wp.formElementEnter
no fired events6 WPGAE
with this fired events:
– Generic Event / Google Analytics – Universal Analytics7 gtm4wp.formElementLeave
no fired eventsThe Event
– LinkedIn Conversion / Benutzerdefiniertes HTML
is never fired.Greetings yuvalo and other forum participants.
I’m writing now on behalf of krysis163.
We’ve identified the cause of the problem and dealt with it.
We had negelected explicitly setting the “Generic Event” property having to do with the GTM tracking number. The necessity of performing that detail is documented in https://wpflow.com/knowledgebase/google-tag-manager-support/ . We had overlooked it. -
