Click event doesn’t show up in Google Analytics

    Hi,

    I have set up a button with the id=”prova-analytics-catala” and also the click event with the same id, and the category and action that I wrote in the Google Analytics event previously. However, the event does not appear in the events register on Google Analytics. Am I missing something?

    It’s in catalan but the button I’m talking about is the one with the text “Demana la Demo”

    I do see an event going out to Google Analytics. Did you get a chance to look in the Real-Time dashboard under events?

    I can see the event on the dashboard now. When I perform the click I don’t see it, so I guess the configuration does not take into account the clicks form my computer/network.

    Also, is there any way I can see these events going out? Just in case I need to debug the system at some point.

    Are you using an ad blocker by any chance?
    You should be able to see events unless:
    1. You have a filter in Google Analytics set up
    2. You checked the don’t track admin users in the plugin’s general settings page
    3. Some javascript errors that cause the plugin to fail (some ad blocker will block Google Analytics all together).

    Okay I will check.

    But still, is there any way I can check if the google analytics event is being sent? I also have buttons on a ContactForm 7, which work with AJAX.
