Cleantalk blocks searches

It seems that CleanTalk spam protection was blocking searches for non-admin users. I disabled the setting, and everything is working again.
However, I was not aware of this setting, so I probably need to check our other sites as well.
This concerns me because the user being blocked was a Shop Manager. The message shown was:
“Forbidden. Email does not exist. Check that email without typos. Your_Email”
But that should not be possible.
Could this be a conflict with the search plugin we use in our WooCommerce shop? Also, is it safe to leave this CleanTalk setting disabled?
I’m not sure why it was triggered.
