In this case are we allowed to direct the user to look at our profile and contact us through our website or is that not allowed?
No. And to be honest, anyone replying to that request with an offer to hire them would risk getting blocked in these forums for good.

These are 100% volunteer supported forums. These forums are never for soliciting work or contact away from these forums.
There have been cases in the past where someone used these forums to contact people for work. They were warned, they chose to disregard that cautioning and were blocked. Then they created a new account and were blocked again.
If someone needs support outside of these forums then the answer is to direct them to http://jobs.wordpress.net/ or http://directory.codepoet.com/
Other sites are allowed but generally speaking those 2 sites are it.
