I haven’t had the chance to test Chinese characters yet.
If you can’t get it working, best rename your folders on your server.

Aww if I had to rename the folders then this wouldn’t be a lazy method 🙁 anyway I don’t really want to rename 100+ folders. I hope you can make it support Chinese/special characters
What server are you running and what is the default character set?

I use nginx as my webserver and charset UTF-8. I run ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Couldn’t get Lazyest Gallery to support Chinese characters.
Eazyest Gallery, the successor to Lazyest Gallery, does support Chinese characters.
