• I started building and changing my website before reading its best using a child theme.

so now i made the child theme but the site no longer loads up the same outer part of background is now grey and new loads up all pages.

Have i did something wrong and how do i fix it?

The next problem i have is i have made many changes and can’t think of them is there away i can find out the changes i have done so i can then out them in the child theme.

    my site is http://www.polishedheaven.co.uk/newsite/

    thanks

Use a spot-the-difference tool to compare the original stylesheet with your modified one. Then transfer your modifications into your Child Theme style.css file (by just copying each modified style over) and then you’ll have an easier job identifying what the issue is.

If you had only made changes to the style.css file and you have transfered those changes to your Child Theme, can you reinstall the parent Twenty Twelve theme?

Actually it sounds like you need to set the background image again in the theme’s settings because these settings aren’t transferred onto your Child Theme by default.
