Child Theme Losing HTML

    I didn’t realize you should customize your website through a child theme until I finished making changes to the parent theme of twentytwelve. I went through the steps to create a child theme, copied my existing CSS code into the child theme, and then activated it through WordPress. My blog loses all of the HTML formatting! It looks like a mobile site would when you’re viewing it on your computer, where there are no margins or sidebars. How do I fix this?
