Child theme CSS deletes new code when saved

    I enter the new CSS into my Child Stylesheet (style.css), and when I click “Update file” at the bottom, it refreshes the page and has deleted the changes. I even tried modifying some child CSS I had entered several months ago, and it deletes the modifications, returning it to the previous code.

    I just updated all my plugins, and it’s still doing this. I am however able to overwrite the stylesheet using my FTP, just not through the WordPress backend.

    I created the site in the August and was able to edit the stylesheet fine.
