    I am using dazzling. Like it But I want to set up child theme for a columnist so he can have control over his page without bothering the rest of the site. I can see how to do this for 2013, I hope I can do it for dazzling.

    Child Theme is used to overwrite Parent theme, which means that you can add custom styling and functionality to theme that will be update proof.

    If i understood you correctly, you are looking to limit user permissions (Administrator, Editor, Subscriber etc.) but these are WordPress related things and can’t be controlled via Child/Parent theme.

    There are many plugins that allow you to create custom permission as well.

    The fix was to make a new installation in a new directory. The downside is that menus and event calendar is not carried over. there are no plug ins that do what I needed.
