does child theme modify my website?

    Hi,

    I already created a website with Blocksy theme.

    If now I install and activate its “child them”, does it change any of my customization or other part of the website that already done?

    Hello @sdnazdi

    Indeed, switching to the child theme will make you “lose” your customisations, as WordPress considers every child theme a “different” one.

    Though, we did recognise that this workflow is a bit counter productive so we’ve built in a feature that lets you copy across the settings from the parent theme to the child one, and vice versa.

    Also, please note that the customisations only refer to things such as the header layout, colours and similar. Changing the theme will not affect your page contents.
