The cause for that can almost always be determined by looking in the browser’s javascript console. Are you able to get a screenshot of that console, or copy and paste the error?

I reported this issue in February or March. Still have an open support ticket on it. Checkout also doesn’t work in IE11 and occasionally Chrome. No response from BigCommerce.
This issue continues to get work from engineers, though it’s not a high priority given the low number of people that use IE11.
Interestingly, it’s been fixed for IE11 a couple times, and then breaks with browser updates. If you ping the ticket number again you should get an update on where it stands for IE11.
Safari, being under more active development, breaks far more often. Apple’s work to restrict cross site cookies is admirable, but makes sites break often.
